ACA Umrah is designed to maximize the best Umrah experience for ACA students, staff, & stakeholders.

September 28th – October 9th 2024

Roundtrip airline from Phoenix to Saudi Arabia; 5 star hotel accommodations in both Madinah & Makkah; Breakfast & Dinner Buffet in Madinah and Makkah; Private air conditioned ground transport to Hotels and Airports in Saudi Arabia; Haramain train from Madinah to Makkah; Private Guided tour in both Madinah & Makkah; Umrah Lectures and Khatirahs on-site; & Visa processing.

Alhamduillah, sisters over the age of 18 can now perform Umrah without a mahram. Female students under the age of 18 will be under the ACA Umrah Imam as their muhram.

You will need a passport that is valid for at least 6 months.

Dar Al-Iman Intercontinental in Madinah & Conrad in Makkah

Phoenix to Los Angeles via Southwest Airline; Los Angeles to Saudi Arabia via Turkish Airline (connecting in Istanbul).

The meningococcal vaccine, the seasonal flu vaccine (flu shot), and COVID vaccine are required to travel with the ACA umrah.

Thobes are recommended for brothers and abayas are required for sisters. 

Umrah Rituals – How to Perform Umrah

  • Ihram from Mikat – The intention to perform Umrah
  • Tawaf – Circumambulation of the Holy Kaaba in worship.
  • Sa’iy – Walking seven times between the hills of Safa and Marwa in worship.
  • Halq (shaving the head) or Taqsir (clipping or shortening of the hair for men and women).

Riyal is Saudi Arabia Currency. 1 United States Dollar is around 3.76 Saudi Riyal. Visa and American Express are accepted at most places in Saudi Arabia.

Masks are required in some areas.

  • Your passport
  • Extra copies of your passport

  • $300 for emergency or if you want to buy gifts to bring back with you. 
  • Thobes for males, abayas for sisters
  • Breathable Cotton clothing

  • Pair of flip flops or slippers
  • Sunglasses
  • Backpack or small duffel bag
  • Unlocked phone
  • International power adaptor
  • Unscented soap, hand sanitizer, wipes, deodorant
  • Sunscreen (unscented if wearing while performing umrah)
  • Mini drug kit (allergy, pain relief, anti-diarrhea/digestive problems); vitamin C packs, cold medicine, cough drops).
  • Granola bars (energy and/or protein), snacks.
